This game is played within an impressive wrought iron frame, with the whole thing set in – you guessed it – a crypt. Betting Options 
You can start off with a low $0.20 bet if you wish, though we enjoyed this game so much that we quickly dialled up to some of the higher levels, which go all the way up to $100 if you’re in full-on warrior mode and want to play for the largest stakes possible. 

Changing your bet level is as simple and intuitive as it gets, with Play’n GO’s on-screen selector set out along the bottom of the screen. Everything’s laid out for you and you simply use the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ symbols to the left and right to slide the options along until you find the level that suits you. 

Bonus Features
During the base game you’ll find that mysterious Spirit gates appear at random on the reels. Should a wild symbol land on one of these, then that wild will expand and trigger a re-spin, featuring one of three modifiers: 

If you summon the Queen of the Damned, you’ll find that extra Spirit Gates are added to all reels for your re-spin; if the Fire Mistress appears, she’ll award you a multiplier of 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x to anything you win. Alternatively, you might come face to face with the Metal Princess instead, who will convert all Ritual Relic symbols into the top-paying skull symbol. 

We loved the Spirit Gates when we were researching our House of Doom 2: The Crypt review, however we also found it was well worth sticking around for the Crypt Spin round – triggered by landing scatter symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5. Your free spins still come with the chance to trigger the 3 modifiers that come with the Spirit Gates, though active scatters landing in gates will be upgraded to Flaming Crypt scatters, which lead to Crypt Spins. 

These are also triggered by re-spins from the Queen of the Damned, or during free spins when all 3 scatters have been upgraded. Either way, 3 Flaming Crypt Scatters trigger 8 Crypt Free Spins, during which the Spirit of Unity may appear. Should this land in a Spirit gate another re-spin is awarded that comes with all 3 modifiers combined at once.

If you manage to hold your nerve in the crypt and make it to the top, then you’ll be given 6,000x your bet level in return. At the top $100 bet level that’s a whopping $600,000 – enough to remodel your house and add a basement of your own if you like – and you can turn into a gym, spa or games room instead of filling it full of human remains… 

Is House of Doom 2 Worth Playing and Who Should Play It?
