We spent many happy hours playing this game, the idea being that we’d find out enough to write this Bompers slot machine review. However, we loved it so much that we ended up spending rather longer on it than we intended! Bompers Theme
The Bompers screen is laid out in standard landscape format, split evenly and vertically into 3 segments with the game played in the centre. Flanking it to either side are pinball-style designs, which match the game mechanics nicely as wild symbols become temporarily sticky and act as fixed obstacles that that any cascading balls will roll over when winning lines below them disappear. 

Generally speaking, the theming is populist, with lots of primary colours, purples and pinks, and glowing neon. It’s an online slots equivalent of a Saturday night TV extravaganza and will please all players no matter what their individual niche tastes happen to be. 

Betting Options

However, thanks to the unique Avalanche bonus system, each win can add another row until no new wins are made – get the maximum of eight rows and you’ll find that there are 262,144 ways to win active. That‘s fairly mind-blowing stuff for an online slot that wouldn’t look out of place as a strategy-based play-for-fun app on a smartphone. 

Wins are assisted by the Bomper bonus symbol, denoted with the letter ‘W’. Up to 5 of these bonus symbols can be found before any spin, and if a standard symbol avalanches onto a Bomper, it’s collected in a meter, which – once full – will turn that Bomper symbol into a sticky wild for any subsequent avalanches. 

If, however, you land a Mystery Bomb symbol, any symbols attached to it will be converted into a Mystery Bomb symbol with any overlapping symbols turning into wilds. 

Next up comes the amazing Shooting Star feature: Should you accumulate the maximum 8 rows of symbols, any Shooting Star symbols reaching the top will reward you with a collection of 7 new symbols, with 3 of them guaranteed to be wild.
