Cluster Slide Slot Machine Review
Read our Cluster Slide slot machine review and you’ll find out about everything that’s possible on this game. Add up all the wilds, symbols upgrades and multipliers available and you’re looking at a slot that’s far more complex than its colourful, cartoonish appearance might first make you think – so read our review in full to become fully acquainted with it and once you start playing, you’ll be enjoying it to the max without any delay.
Cluster Slide Theme
If you’re wondering why the playing area in this game is tilted, there is a good reason: It takes place on the planet Jellyton, and that’s how gravity works there. When we were preparing our Cluster Slide review, we initially thought this was somewhat preposterous, but once you find out how much fun this rather strange characteristic adds to the game, you’ll quickly want to make repeated visits – though its colourful, friendly vibe is enough to make anyone want to keep coming back, no matter how wonky the playing environment is. Full credit goes to the ELK Studios design team for their creative themes (don’t forget to check out the Miss Wildfire slot from them!).
Betting Options
You can join in the fun on this game for $0.20 to $100 per game, with some exceptionally large wins possible if you bet larger amounts. You might want to start small and work your way up if you’re unsure about how this game works as it’s nothing like anything that’s come before it – though it shouldn’t take you long to get the hang of it.
To get playing, select your bet level using the controls to the bottom left of the screen. There’s no need to do anything complicated like select additional bet levels or numbers of paylines to play, as this game doesn’t use a traditional payline format anyway.
Bonus Features
Firstly, in addition to having a slanted playing grid, this game uses the increasingly popular tumbling reels format where winning combinations disappear and the symbols above them fall into their place. Cluster wins rather than paylines can be formed by landing 5 or more matching symbols on its 8×7 grid in any configuration as long as they all touch the side of an adjacent matching symbol. On top of any cash you’re awarded you’ll also see the Feature Generator meter move up a notch. Fill it up and you’ll be given a Feature Wild – which comes with 5 variations:
Big Wilds are 2×2 symbols that make extra wins very likely, whilst the Random Wilds feature sees between 2 and 4 random positions on the reels turn wild. Multiplier Wilds increase any applicable multipliers by one, Upgrading Wilds move any instances of the chosen symbol up to a more valuable symbol – and Removing Wilds get rid of all instances of a chosen symbol, filling up the playing grid with more opportunities to win.
Should you work your way through all 5 Feature Wilds in a single round you’ll trigger the Multiplier Feature, which comes up at a whopping 5x, and increases by 1 with every win.
On top of all this, if you manage to land 3 bonus symbols in the same game you’ll trigger the Bonus Game feature. This gives you 3 free games which come with special features of their own. Before your complimentary games commence the bonus symbols that triggered them turn wild, and 3 additional wilds will appear on the screen as well. For your second free game, a pair of 2×2 wilds are added as well, with a further single 3×3 wild awarded for the final free game.
Cluster Slide Maximum Win
You can win up to 10,000x your stake on Cluster Slide, which means a maximum win of $1 million. This game might look like a play-for-fun app, but it clearly isn’t. With life-changing wins that you’d normally associate with a progressive jackpot on offer, its potential is out of this world.
Is Cluster Slide Worth Playing and Who Should Play It?
With bright colours, wacky animated characters and some truly unique ideas this is a fabulous slot even by Elk’s high standards. We’d therefore recommend it to anyone, though beginner players might want to get used to the idea of the cluster symbol win format on a simpler game first. If Cluster Slide isn’t your cup of tea, you can try Knockout Diamonds, which is a straightforward boxing themed slot with 3 reels.
