Celtic Spirit Deluxe Slot Review
We’ve spent a few hours on this wonderful creation, and somehow managed to tear ourselves away long enough to able to write this Celtic Spirit Deluxe slot machine review. Keep reading and you’ll become an instant expert, ready to take the plunge and enjoy yourself to the max.
Celtic Spirit Deluxe Theme
Stakelogic’s team have paid a highly respectful tribute to the Celtic people here: Not only have they avoided all the usual clichés found on Irish luck-themed slots, but they’ve taken the trouble to make it a genuinely Celtic – rather than purely Irish – game. There’s extensive use of traditional knotting and the obligatory flame-haired maiden in a green dress, but otherwise it’s as Scottish or Welsh as it is Irish, with battle shields, wolves and stags set against a stunning mountain backdrop. It could be Glencoe; it could be the McGillycuddy Reeks; it could be Snowdonia. All we know is that it’s beautifully designed and rendered, in line with the rest of the game.
When we wrote our Celtic Spirit Deluxe review it was hard not to be blown away by its appearance. In fact, we were almost distracted from its gameplay – but luckily we weren’t, which would have been a shame, as the features are every bit as carefully thought through as the rest of the game.
Betting Options
The most that can be bet at the Celtic Spirit Deluxe slot from Stakelogic is $0.20, which might be too high for some, considering there are other slots that allow you to spin for just $0.01. The maximum possible bet is $100, which is about average in the world of online slots. As you might expect, the more you bet, the more money you can win.
Bet levels can easily be set using the ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons to the bottom right of the reels, though you can select more options by using the cog symbol to the left. These include an instant max bet option, making it quick and easy to commit large amounts for larger potential wins. You only need to set your bet level once, as it’s remembered for all spins after.
Bonus Features
Your wild symbol in this game is nice and easy to spot as it’s got the word ’Wild’ emblazoned across it! It’s also the most valuable symbol in the set. In this game, though, you’ll be more interested in the young lady with the red hair, as she’s your key to success, as she is the scatter bonus symbol in the base game. Land 3 of her anywhere on reels 1,3 and 5 and you’ll trigger a free spins round with a difference.
Before looking at the free spins though, it’s important to understand the small reel above the main set of reels. This can activate at any point, and it can give you extra wilds on the reels, or a multiplier, with 5x being the highest multiplier you can possibly get.
Now back to the free spins. As you play your 6 standard free spins, you’ll find a guaranteed sticky wild in the centre of the screen for the entire length of the feature, along with another sticky wild right next to it if the mini reel lands on ‘wild’. The small reel above the reels can also activate during free spins, giving you the chance to win the usual prizes, as well as more free spins.
It’s slightly more complex than the average slot and needs to be played to be fully appreciated, but once you’ve got it down, you’ll feel a true sense of achievement!
Celtic Spirit Deluxe Maximum Win
If you make the maximum bet of $100 a top-ranking win of $10,000 is possible. You’ll need to spin 5 wild symbols on a valid payline, and this will need to be subject to the maximum 5x multiplier – so both the Slot Gods and your redheaded companion will need to look down upon you favourably for you to get the ultimate prize here. Who knows: If you’ve got Irish relatives, you might get special treatment…
Is Celtic Spirit Deluxe Worth Playing and Who Should Play It?
Celtic Spirit Deluxe brings a pub fruit feature to the web that’s hardly – if ever – found online, and it’s been executed superbly. Nothing less than a high end, tasteful and sympathetic design would have done it justice and we’re delighted that Stakelogic have pulled out all the stops out to make this the game it deserves to be. Therefore, it’s certainly a slot that’s worth playing.
It goes without saying that land casino and pub slot players will love it, though anyone seeking an upmarket gaming experience that can be played alone will quickly learn to love it as well. The fact that this casino game has a low volatility means that there shouldn’t be quick swings in your casino balance, making it great for those who like a more sedate slot playing experience.
