Eastern Emeralds review
Visually it is classic Quickspin: clean, polished, not overloaded. The high-paying symbols are a golden dragon, koi fish, a turtle, gold ingots and coins; the low pays are card royals. The green emerald is the wild and a phoenix is the scatter.
Multiplier wilds in the base game
The emerald wild substitutes for every regular symbol and lands with a multiplier from 1x to 5x. When two or more wilds take part in the same win, their multipliers are multiplied together. Two 5x wilds make a 25x win, and with wilds on several reels the base game can reach a 120x multiplier on a single line win. Most base-game wins are small, but this is what keeps the base game from feeling flat.
Destiny Free Spins
Three phoenix scatters on the middle reels (2, 3 and 4) start the Destiny Free Spins feature. Before the spins begin you choose one of four options, and each one trades spin count for multiplier strength on reels 2 to 5:
6 spins with 5x/6x/7x/8x wild multipliers (top possible win 16,003x) • 9 spins with 4x/5x/6x/7x (up to about 13,734x) • 12 spins with 3x/4x/5x/6x (up to about 5,922x) • 15 spins with 2x/3x/4x/5x (up to about 2,294x).
The 6-spin option is the high-risk pick: few spins, but every wild that lands is big. The 15-spin option is the safer, steadier choice. Being able to pick your own risk level is the best thing about the game.
Volatility and max win
Quickspin rates Eastern Emeralds as high volatility, and it plays like it. Expect long dry stretches in the base game, with most of the value coming from wild combinations and the free spins. The maximum win is 16,003x the stake, and it is only realistic from the 6-spin Destiny option. There is no jackpot.
