Codex of Fortune Slot Review
In this Codex of Fortune review we’ll be looking at this slot from every angle, giving you the best possible rundown of everything it has to offer and how different it is from other similar games like the Divine Fortune slot. We’ll look at everything from the game’s theme to how to play the bonus features, and when you’ve finished reading this Codex of Fortune slot machine review, you’ll know exactly whether this is the game for you.
Codex of Fortune Theme
Codex of Fortune has an art nouveau design, which isn’t something seen very often at an online slot! Everything on the screen looks fantastic, including the device to the left of the reels, which plays a pivotal role in the game, as you’ll see later in this review. The background is a simple blue one, while the reels are surrounded by ornate designs.
You’ll find a large number of symbols on the reels, many which look like the type of ornamental brooches that could have been worn during the period. There’s a gold turtle, red-maned lion, orange owl and a blue shell, plus you’ll also find a beautiful pink butterfly, which is the game’s wild symbol, as well as a scatter symbol. As with many slots, the lower value symbols are playing card values.
Betting Options
The minimum bet at this online slot is $0.20, which is low enough for most players. At the other end of the scale, the maximum bet is $100, which should be large enough for most players. To change your bet amount, just click the plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the screen.
Bonus Features
First up, it’s important to understand how the collectible and key symbols work during the respins and free spins. You’ll see that there’s a ladder to the left of the reels, which shows the available prizes. Get five collectibles and you move one place up the ladder, while collecting a key sees the wheel of the specific level turning one place to the right. The further you move up the ladder, and the more spaces you move to the right on a wheel, the bigger the prizes become.
The respins bonus starts whenever you manage to get a winning combination on the reels, as well as two scatter symbols. You’ll then receive a respin, however the reels will only contain blanks, keys and one of the winning symbols, which will be the collectible symbol. Collect five collectibles and you’ll move the wheel. Get a key and you’ll move up the ladder. The feature ends when you get no new symbols on the reels. Once the respins have finished, you can use the keys you’ve collected to win a prize. However, you can also save them and use them when you next activate the free spins bonus.
There’s also a free spins bonus at this slot, which starts when you get three scatter symbols anywhere on the reels. A wheel is then spun, which determines how many free spins you get, how many extra keys are added to the reels, and what the collectible symbols are. During the free spins, you’ll move up a level whenever you collect 20 collectibles – doing so is helped by getting +10 symbols, which add 10 collectibles to the meter. Get a key and you’ll move the current wheel to the right by one position. You’ll also find +1 symbols, which give you an extra free spin when they land. At the end of the free spins, all prizes you’ve won are tallied up.
Codex of Fortune Maximum Win
The most that can be won when playing this online slot is 10,000x your bet, meaning that those playing for the highest stakes could walk away with $1 million! This jackpot can be won when playing the free spins bonus.
Is Codex of Fortune Worth Playing and Who Should Play It?
Codex of Fortune is an exceptionally good slot, although it is one of the more complex casino games around. The jackpot of 10,000x your bet is the main reason to play, however the unusual bonus features also make this a game that should be played.
This game is best suited to those who are more experienced players, as the game really isn’t the simplest around. However, experienced players looking for a challenge should love what they find. It’s also great for those who prefer playing slots with big prizes, as it’s possible to win $1 million when playing at the highest stakes.
