Riviera Riches

Riviera Riches review

The symbols include a glamorous couple, a grand villa, a vintage car and drinks, plus card values. The Riviera Riches logo is the wild. It substitutes for regular symbols and doubles any line win it completes. Wins made only of wilds are paid but not doubled. The wild does not replace the scatter or the roulette bonus symbol.

Free spins with triple wins

The “Scatter Money” symbol pays anywhere from two upwards. Three or more award 12 free spins with every win tripled, and landing three more scatters during the feature retriggers it. Because the wild still doubles line wins during free spins, a wild win in the feature pays 6x the normal amount.

The roulette bonus

Roulette bonus symbols on both reel 1 and reel 5 start the Roulette Bonus. Two numbers are picked on a roulette wheel, related bets (colour, odd/even, dozen, column) are placed automatically, and you also get a flat award of 4x your total bet. The maximum in this bonus is 30,000 coins. It can trigger during free spins too, but roulette wins are not tripled.

Volatility and max win

Riviera Riches is rated medium volatility, a balanced game with features that show up often enough to keep things moving. Microgaming does not publish an official maximum win. Some sites quote 190,000 coins in free spins, but we could not confirm that from an official source, so we do not state it as fact. There is no jackpot.

How to play

• Choose your coin value and coins per line. Bets are coin-based, and your casino sets the limits.
• Line wins pay left to right across 15 lines. Wilds double the win of any line they complete.
• Two or more scatters pay anywhere. Three or more give 12 free spins with all wins tripled.
• Roulette symbols on reel 1 and reel 5 together trigger the Roulette Bonus.

Riviera Riches RTP

The published RTP is 96.51%. Check the info screen at your casino before playing for real money.

Pros and cons

What we like

• Tripled free spins plus doubling wilds give up to 6x wins
• Free spins can be retriggered
• Original roulette bonus
• Medium volatility, good for longer sessions

What could be better

• Dated 2011 graphics
• No official maximum win published
• Coin-based betting is less intuitive than a simple stake
• Demo is geo-blocked in some countries

Our verdict

Riviera Riches is a well-balanced older slot. Doubling wilds and tripled free spins work well together, and the roulette bonus adds variety. It will not compete with modern games on visuals or huge multipliers, but it is a pleasant medium-volatility game. If you like Microgaming’s classics, Immortal Romance and Thunderstruck are worth a look.
